In Krasnoyarsk, the overhaul of school No. 66 on Aerovokzalnaya Street, one of the oldest in the Sovetsky district, continues. The facility was previously decommissioned due to accidents. In 2024, its restoration began using private funds, the mayor’s office reported.

Today, December 3, the progress of work was assessed at an off-site meeting, which was held by the acting head of the city, Roman Odintsov. The event was attended by the Chairman of the City Council of Deputies Natalia Firyulina. The facility has fully strengthened the foundation and floors of the 2nd and 3rd floors and updated the roof. In the building itself, the installation of partitions and plastering work is being completed, and the installation of hot and cold water supply, sewerage, electricity, and ventilation systems is underway.

“Very large-scale dismantling work was carried out here, because the building is old, with wooden floors and walls, unaccounted for structures that were discovered after the fact. All this was brought into line. Renovations are currently being carried out on all floors. We plan to begin finishing work soon,” said the head of the development company, Alexander Yakubovich.

The overhaul is being carried out at the expense of the developer. In this way, the company fulfills part of its social obligations under the integrated development agreement for the territory (CTD) on Partizana Zheleznyaka Street at the initiative of the copyright holder. As part of the project, not only the school will be renovated, but the surrounding area will also be landscaped. In particular, a new sports core will appear there.

“Children, parents, teachers who previously worked in this building have successfully adapted within the walls of school No. 66 on Partizan Zheleznyak. We are now a friendly, united team. Of course, we are all really looking forward to the opening. We understand that the overhaul of such a facility is a complex process,” said the acting director. Director of School No. 66 Elena Ryzhenkova.

As part of the social obligations under the KRT agreement, the developer will not only restore the general education facility needed by the microdistrict, but will also create built-in and attached premises for a library and a kindergarten for 80 children in the residential complex under construction on Partizana Zheleznyaka Street

“The school at Aerovokzalnaya is very necessary and long-awaited. We were looking for resources in order to eliminate the building's disrepair, return it to the educational process, and thereby meet the needs of residents for places in educational institutions in the microdistrict. The governor of the region also sets the corresponding task. Therefore, it is good that such an instrument as integrated territorial development (CTD) was approved at the federal level. In fact, this is the first municipal educational facility in the city that is being overhauled with private funds—in this case, the developer,” noted Roman Odintsov.

Let us add that in Krasnoyarsk the practice of using the federal mechanism for integrated development of territories is expanding. Currently, 27 agreements have been concluded. They provide for social obligations of developers. Thanks to these projects, new schools, kindergartens, libraries, cultural spaces, sports facilities, multi-level parking lots, landscaped areas, roads, utility networks and other facilities will appear. Some of them will be built by developers at their own expense, or they will buy and transfer land plots to the city free of charge for the placement of necessary institutions. The projects also involve the resettlement and demolition of emergency housing.
