“Maybe there was a bet!”

Protagonist in the revelations made in recent days, Gheorghe Tadici vehemently rejects the last-minute accusations launched under the protection of anonymity, denying that he would have vented his anger on the players because of the bets.
The technician declares himself the victim of a smear campaign and uses sharp language to answer his detractors.
Gheorghe Tadici: “I have to be humiliated, so that I don't get another mandate!”
“I can't stay now to answer all these “scumbags” who come with anonymous accusations. It's clear, it's a campaign to denigrate me, because I've always supported the “Novak Law”, which would help Romanian handball. With this I disturbed those in these clubs with budgets of 3.5-4 million euros from public money, which, look at their performances!
The second problem of them, of those who denigrate me. is that I have 8 consecutive mandates in the Board of Directors of the handball federation, always with the most votes And the elections are approaching. And Tadici must be denigrated, so that he does not take the ninth mandate! That's why they also attract former sportswomen from Zalău, perhaps weaker than angels, into their mire.
That way, anonymously, anyone can say anything. I don't care what any frustrated person says. To come face to face to accuse me, not like that, behind my back. I have the courage to stand face to face with anyone, I don't feel guilty about anything. If I was guilty, I no longer answered the press, I hid. But like this, I stand in front of anyone,” Tadici declared, for GSP.ro.
“My dad said, 'Anything but potatoes'”
Tadici then continued his defense:
“Maybe whoever speaks anonymously that I bet says that because that's what she was used to at the clubs she played at, maybe she bet there. If it was about a player, I don't know. You won't find anyone who saw me bet.
My father said, “Anything, but not potatoes”. This is how I taught my children. In the family, no one is interested in betting. These are the words of someone who cheated handball”.
Regarding the situation of Denisa Vâlcan, Tadici states that the athlete “left willingly because she realized that she could not progress”:
I didn't fire Denisa Vâlcamn from Zalău, she left because she realized she couldn't progress. I have raised thousands of female athletes. If a few come and accuse me, it means nothing. Those who come with these accusations, should also bring evidence.
Here, in Zalău, I don't think anyone bets, I have no suspicion. And I don't bet, I've never played skeptic either. I don't care about the odds, I don't have such concerns. That's why I don't even think about something like that or that someone from us would do something like that. It is excluded!”.
“I didn't even play seven!”
About the scourge of betting, Tadici says that “I'm not good at these things, with bets, I don't even look at odds before matches.
I've never even played septic! I am not at all interested in gambling or betting. I never felt that this phenomenon would have reached handball. If I'm not concerned about something like that, I haven't even thought about it,” said Tadici in full swing, with the Zalău team in a camp at Cheile Grădiștei.
The former coach added:
“In handball there are some type contracts from FRH. I don't know, I don't want to mislead you, but I don't think there is any clause in which it is stated that they are not allowed to play for bets. There is a clause on doping, yes. In my teams, there were not, there are not and there will not be any players who would do something like that“, commented Tadici, in a telephone dialogue with the GSP.ro reporter.

Gheorghe Tadici, the coach of HC Zalău, is facing accusations of impact
What accusations of magnitude did Tadici receive today: “The girls had won the match with Bistrita, and he was nervous that his bets didn't work out!”
On Wednesday, GSP.ro provided new information in the case of the riot started in the HC Zalău locker room, where several handball players raged, under the protection of anonymity, at the 73-year-old technician.
The coach was criticized not only for his inappropriate behavior towards his own students, but also that, at one point, he would have vented his anger on the handball players from Zalău because “his bets didn't work out”. But also that “you bet, a whole country knows”.
“He has his men in hand. How can anyone kick him out? The girls had won the match with Bistrita, and he was nervous that his bets didn't work out and he also unloaded on the girls and gave them fines. The whole country knows that he is betting! He offends them on TV, in front of everyone, and no one pays attention to him”. All the accusations against Tadici, HERE.
