Explosions on tankers of the Russian shadow fleet
Last Friday (November 28) in the Black Sea, near the Bosphorus Strait, there was an explosion on two tankers belonging to the so-called Russian shadow fleet, used to bypass sanctions and illegally transport oil.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday that attacks on merchant ships in the Black Sea were unacceptable and warned “all interested parties” against carrying out such operations.
— The war between Russia and Ukraine has clearly begun to threaten the safety of navigation in the Black Sea. Attacks on ships are signals of a dangerous escalation. We cannot in any way justify these attacks. We are providing all concerned parties with the necessary warnings regarding such incidents, Erdogan told reporters.
