The special guests of the Friday edition of the Podcast Edyta Żemły and Marcin Wyriła “Fonts of War” were the authors of the “International Report” Podcast Witold Jurasz and Zbigniew Parafianowicz. The episode was mainly devoted to the celebration of the Russian Victory Day.
Victory Day celebrations Putin's success?
Podcast guests were asked about the reasons announced by Vladimir Putin on May 9, which is not observed by the Russian side.
– It was partly about making a coup or an attack in Moscow that day to make it difficult for Ukrainians. I imagine that Ukrainians could send drones to Moscow – said Witold Jurasz. “It's pure propaganda, nothing more than that,” he pointed out.
– An important element is the so -called In Blame Game diplomacy, i.e. the game of accusations of who has bad will and does not want peace. And Putin's announcing “Easter truce” first, and now on May 9 is to serve that Putin would be considered a good will. Of course, this is not true – said Zbigniew Parafianowicz.
Witold Jurasz admitted that he would be happy if there were a powerful assassination in Moscow on May 9. – On the other hand, there is a question whether Ukrainians would pay off. And this is a specific moment, because Trump's kindness tilts towards Ukraine. And the point is not to give him an argument, that he would turn around him again. And this is a question about the profit and loss account – he pointed out.
Guests of “Fronts of War” also assessed the international significance of the Russian victory day celebration in the context of world leaders who appeared at the celebrations.
– Putin's lack of success was not only that he was only Fico from Western representatives. The main negative element of this parade from the diplomatic point of view was the lack of a good representation of the global south, not the West as such. This is a reference point for the world that Putin wants to build – pointed out Zbigniew Parafianowicz. – He creates the axis of satrapy, which has been confirmed by the system from XI Jinping. And an important element of this system is the global south, but a serious global noon, and in this state of the Persian Gulf plus India, [których przywódców nie było]. Iran was represented only at the ambassador level. In this sense, “something has not been shy”.
