Nicolae Stanciu does not find his place at Genoa. What options does it have for the winter break?

Nicolae Stanciu (32 years old) is getting closer to leaving Genoa, the team where he does not play. The change of environment could allow him to return to the national team, where the selector Mircea Lucescu put him on the dead line. On March 26, the tricolors support the World Cup tie with Turkey, away.

Stanciu's days at Genoa are numbered
The 32-year-old attacking midfielder, signed in the summer with high expectations, has made just five appearances for the Griffins, scoring just one goal. His last official appearance dates back to September, a sign that the Romanian international has completely left De Rossi's technical plans.
After the Italian press announced that Stanciu could be let go in the winter, there were immediate speculations about a possible return to Rapid. Victor Angelescu, however, quickly closed the discussion, stating that the footballer is not considering a return to the Superliga.
In this context, journalists from Italy came up with a much more realistic option: Lecce, the team currently in 14th place in Serie A, would have already taken an interest in the Romanian's situation.
Eusebio Di Francesco's side are looking for a creative midfielder who can link the game between the lines, and Stanciu would tick exactly that profile.
