Ionuț Negoiță, 51 years oldthe former owner of Dinamo, believes that Zeljko Kopic's “pack” can prevail in the Romanian Derby on Saturday. The businessman drew a parallel between what he managed at Dinamo and what is happening now with Boavista, a traditional Portuguese club that went bankrupt
The Romanian Derby, FCSB – Dinamo, is on Saturday, December 6, from 20:30, at the National Arena. This time, the “dogs” are much ahead of their rivals, 10 points away. Zeljko Kopic's team is 3rd, while Elias Charalambous's team is 9th.
Ionuț Negoiță before FCSB – Dinamo: “We are in better shape than them, I hope it shows on the field. 2-1 for us”
The red-whites have high expectations from this matchup, also encouraged by the 4-3 in the summer, from the regular season round.
The former patron of Dinamo, currently sponsor of the team, Ionuț Negoiță, 51 years old, is of the opinion that, despite numerous personnel problems, the “pack” can beat its rival.
“We are in better shape than them, I hope it shows on the pitch. I think we can impose ourselves even if there are many problems with the team. I would bet on 2-1 for Dinamo. FCSB has a good team, but Dinamo can also measure its strength with it,” Ionuț Negoiță told GSP.ro.
Zeljko Kopic is a real gain for Dinamo. The plan of the management, of the technical staff worked, everything is going well. And it matters a lot that the Croatian coach has been with the team for two years, going through various stages

Ionuț Negoiță draws a parallel between what could happen at Dinamo and what is now at Boavista: “Amounts that come over you and can bury you”
Ionuț Negoiță has been challenged by supporters for years. However, he draws a parallel between the situation he experienced in Ștefan cel Mare and the one currently faced by Boavista, a traditional group of Lusitanian football.
“Boavista, the former champion of Portugal, a club that produced great players, went bankrupt. There are 122 years of history coming to an end. I looked on the internet at one point and saw that in Portugal the titles are divided between the 3 big forces: Benfica, Porto and Sporting. Only Belenenses in 1946 and Boavista in 2001 managed to break the tradition and win the championship.
I knew about Boavista many years ago. It has a spectacular stadium and a lot of subscribers. But nothing could stop the financial collapse.
What happened at Boavista could also happen at Dinamo. And not just once. Few people remember, but when I took over Dinamo, there were debts of around 15 million euros.
More than half of the debts were with ANAF alone. Sums that come over you and if you don't deal with it, they bury you”, the businessman also declared.
Ionuț Negoiță, journey in the recent past: “The Club from Groapa really had one foot in the hole”
Ionuț Negoiță continued, recalling the club's first insolvency: “Not only did no one bother to invest, to buy, but also those who had invested until then, did not know how to sell and get rid of Dinamo, so that the club would not die in their arms.
That's the reality. Dinamo was headed for bankruptcy. The club from “Groapa” really had one foot in the hole. Back then, I was there as a sponsor. I had just come, just to help. And I couldn't bear the thought of this ship sinking and no one to lend a hand.
And when others were withdrawing, I took the risk and entered the story with the idea of saving the club. The supporters expected trophies and they were right. But at that time I only dreamed that Dinamo would not disappear, that it would continue to exist.
And if anyone thinks running a football club is easy, they are wrong. In football you have to pump money all the time. From paying the maid's salary to trips and camps. I, in addition to all these expenses, was also pumped into debt. And I paid half of them, and the other half were settled through insolvency”, Ionuț Negoiță also said.
17.5millions of euros in debt accumulated in May 2014 when Dinamo first entered insolvency. After the insolvency process, which lasted a year and a half, the club paid only about 800,000 euros
