In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a court ordered a dog owner to pay compensation to a 13-year-old boy who was bitten. The regional prosecutor's office reported this.
In July 2025, the teenager came to the village of Udzhey to stay with his grandmother. One day, a neighbor’s dog, without a chain, ran out of its yard and grabbed the student’s knee. As a result, the boy received a serious laceration and suffered moderate damage to his health.
The victim's parents appealed to the prosecutor's office to protect their son's rights. Law enforcement officers quickly identified the owner of the animal, and the prosecutor filed a lawsuit for compensation for moral damage.
“The owner believes that the dog is calm and not aggressive. He lets the dog out at night, for which he has already been fined. The court, having assessed all the evidence, satisfied the claim and recovered 50 thousand rubles from him in favor of the teenager,” the press service of the supervisory agency reported.
Now the man has built an enclosure for the dog and has eliminated walks on the streets of the village. The execution of the court decision is under the control of the prosecutor's office.
