Poles detained on charges of espionage in Sweden. There is an indictment


The Poles were arrested in March this year. As described by the Swedish media, they were supposed to take photos of the nuclear power plant in Oskarshamn, located on the east coast of the country. A security guard there stopped them. They were accused of taking photos of protected objects.

The radio reports that during the arrest the men introduced themselves as father and son. One of them claimed to be a former police chief.

In the detainees' car, the officers discovered, among others: a Geiger counter, which is used to detect nuclear radiation, as well as rubber gloves and a military hat with the Soviet symbol of the hammer and sickle. The vehicle also had accreditation from the Polish police.

The men do not admit to the crimes they are accused of, claiming that they were only on holiday in Sweden.
