Napoli won away to AS Roma, 1-0, and overtook Inter in the Serie A standings.

Napoli started the game better and had the first few dangerous chances, but Giovanni Di Lorenzo shot wide and in the 21st minute Noah Lang's shot was saved by Mile Svilar.

In the 36th minute, the guests opened the scoring. They organized a lightning counterattack, David Neres he combined with Rasmus Hojlund, who launched it behind the defence, and the Brazilian coolly finished for 0-1.

Even in the second half, the rhythm of the game did not change much. The visitors again had the first chance to score, but a shot by Rasmus Hojlund was saved by Svilar.

Roma, on the other hand, struggled to create chances on goal, one of the few coming from Lorenzo Pellegrini in the 77th minute, but his long-range shot went just wide of the crossbar.

The clearest chance, however, was created by Tommaso Baldanzi in the 89th minute when he sent a powerful shot, but Vanja Milinkovic-Savic denied it with a splendid save.

Thus, Napoli enjoyed the victory and accumulated 28 points, climbing to the 2nd place in the ranking, equal on points with the leader Milan, but a goal difference lower than it. Roma dropped to the 4th position, with 27 points. Among the combatants tonight is Cristi Chivu's Inter.

Basically, the first 4 ranked are separated by a single point!
