Ibrahim C. arrested. Radomiak football player accused of rape

Radomiak football player Ibrahima C. was arrested on Monday for three months in connection with the charge of raping a Radom resident, Aneta Góźdź, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Radom, confirmed to PAP.

According to investigators, the crime allegedly occurred on November 29 in Radom. The footballer from Guinea invited a 30-year-old woman he met through one of the online applications to his home. A rape was allegedly committed and the victim reported it to the police.

– The next day, the 26-year-old was arrested and charged, and on Monday the District Court in Radom decided to apply a preventive measure in the form of temporary arrest – said the spokeswoman.

The footballer faces a prison sentence of 2 to 15 years.

On Monday afternoon, the Radomiak club informed on the X platform that, by the decision of the club's authorities, Ibrahim C. (the club provides his full name) was suspended as a player due to the appearance of information requiring clarification by the competent authorities.

– Our club strongly condemns any behavior that violates applicable law. At the same time, until the proceedings are completed, the club will not comment on the details or refer to media speculations – it was stated in the entry.

Guinean Ibrahima C. signed a two-year contract with the Radom club in July. In Radomiak he played as a midfielder. (PAP)
