Although it cost approximately 37 million euros and is one of the most modern sports arenas in Romania, the “Arc de Triumf” Stadium operates at the limit of profitability. After four years of activity, the financial balance shows a symbolic profit, of only a few tens of thousands of lei, in a context where other stadiums in the country generate significant losses.

The Arc de Triomphe Stadium in Bucharest was inaugurated on July 3, 2021 with a rugby match, and since then the arena in the center of the city has quickly become one of the most beloved sports bases in the Capital.

Built especially for Romania's “national” rugby matches, the stadium ended up being frequently used by football teams as well.

The arena where everyone “fights”.

Over the last few years, the Romanian women's national football team and Dinamo have played on this arena, both in the Super League and in the Romanian Cup. The stadium has also hosted UEFA European Under-19 Championship matches, confirming its status as a modern arena suitable for international competitions.

The arena is not only used for sports competitions. Numerous events of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee and the National Sports Agency were organized here, including the European Youth Archery Cup, the stadium becoming an important point on the Romanian sports map.

And in the case of the Rapid-Giulești Stadium, there were discussions regarding the financial situation. Top hotel and recovery center for athletes

Despite the financial and logistical challenges, the Arc de Triumf Stadium remains one of the most modern and stylish arenas in Romania, appreciated by both athletes and spectators.

In addition to the grass field, the complex will also include: outdoor urban spaces, underground parking, a center for the recovery of athletes with a hyperbaric chamber for oxygen therapy, specific medical equipment for recovery, a swimming pool, a sauna, a conference room and a VIP area, as well as a hotel.

The most sophisticated and expensive component of the Recovery and Restoration Center is the Icelab, the first in Romania, where cryotherapy can be done. It was state-of-the-art, sourced from Zimmer, the main manufacturer, and cost $300,000 including VAT. It has three chambers, which can reach -30, -60, and -110 degrees Celsius respectively.
