Approximately A joint press conference of the heads of government is planned at 3.15 p.m. Just before the conference, a ceremony of handing over cultural property to Poland was planned. According to information from Onet, it may involve the return of the archives of the Teutonic Order and a 14th-century sculpture depicting the head of Saint. James the Elder, stolen after the war from the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the High Castle in Malbork.

Issues related to bilateral cooperation, security, defense, infrastructure and issues related to the EU agenda are to be discussed.

Consultations between the Polish and German governments have been held since 1997. The last one was held in July last year with the participation of the then head of the German cabinet, Olaf Scholz. It was a return to this format of talks after a six-year break – since 2018, when the governments of Mateusz Morawiecki and Angela Merkel met. Polish-German intergovernmental consultations were then discontinued and resumed in 2024 (PAP)
