We would have liked the national team players to get their hands on the trophies this month, but it didn't work out for us. We'll have to wait until March to see if we have any chance of getting tickets for the World Cup groups.

We continue to rely on ours, from the domestic championship, where surprises do not give us peace. For example, this month, Gâlcă's Rapid was derailed by Pancu and CFR Cluj, but Andone's Argeş immediately sent them to the “depot”… Proof that we have an extremely thrilling championship.

So, the time has come to open the online voting procedures for “Player of the Month of November” and “Coach of the Month of November”, where GSP.ro readers can choose their favorites!

Player of the month November 2025 – nominations

For the “November Player of the Month” trophy, Gazeta nominated 5 footballers:

• Andrei Cordea (CFR Cluj). The people of Cluj are trying to recover, but they are still not able to string together the good results as they would like. In November they ticked off two wins in three games, all in the Super League, and the 26-year-old midfielder scored three goals. Cordea achieved a spectacular “double” in the 3-0 victory with Rapid, and scored again in the narrow success with Unirea Slobozia.
• Claudiu Petrila (Rapid). Called up for the first time to the national team, Petrila played only 16 minutes in the 7-1 victory against San Marino. However, the nomination was brought to him by his performance in the match with Csikszereda, in which he was the MVP of the game! A goal and two assists, contributing to the 4-1 win. But also at the first position occupied by Rapid at the end of November, over Botoșani and Dinamo.
• Ricardo Matos (FC Arges). Pitesti remain in the top six of the Superliga, although the month of November was a complicated one. However, the Portuguese Matos had an important contribution, scoring two goals, with Craiova University and CFR Cluj. In the last match, the categorical victory, 3-0, with CFR, also provided two goal assists. Instead, Andone's Argus has two red marbles.
• Ionuț Vîna (Lighthouse). With two goals and a decisive assist, the Constantin striker stood out in the race for the November trophy. He was the best player on the field in the 3-0 victories with Csikszereda and 2-0 with FC Botoșani. In both games, he added his name to the list of scorers, and against the Ciucanians he also provided an assist.
• Mamoudou Karamoko (Dinamo). The “tank” of the “dogs” offense had solid developments in November. At the end of the month, Dinamo was in 3rd place in the Superliga, below Rapid and Botoșani, and Karamoko made a decisive contribution in the fight for the title. A “double” in the victory, 4-0, with Csikszereda. In addition, Dynamo can be proud of remaining undefeated in the last month.

Also on the preliminary list were: Conrado Buchanelli (Oțelul), Tobias Christensen (Rapid), Sebastian Mailat (FC Botoșani), Alexandru Dobre (Rapid), Marton Eppel (Csikszereda), Alexandru Ișfan (Farul), Aurelian Chițu (Hermannstadt) and Marius Coman (UTA Arad).

Coach of the month November 2025 – nominations

For the “Coach of the Month of November” trophy, Gazeta nominated 3 technicians:

• Constantin Gâlcă (Rapid). Derailed by the speedster Pancu and CFR Cluj, the people from Giulești recovered. Calm and calculated, Gâlcă found the solution to put the team on its feet after the hard failure, 0-3, with CFR. Csikszereda quickly scored, 4-1. Also worth noting is the 2-0 victory with FC Argeș, as well as the dramatic 2-2 draw with Craiova University, won in extra time by Olteni.
• Zeljko Kopic (Dinamo). Three matches and no defeat for Dinamo! A new asset for Kopic, the coach who keeps quiet and does. The “dogs” have every reason to dream of the title of champions. In November they won 4-0 against Csikszereda, beat Oțelul 1-0 and drew 1-1 with FC Botoşani, in a match they controlled from start to finish.
• Ianis Zicu (Lighthouse). With 7 points collected in the last stage, the “principal” of the Lighthouse earned his place among the “Best”. Two victories in the championship, 3-0 with Csikszereda and 2-0 with FC Botoșani, plus a draw, 2-2, with Oțelul Galați. The month could be even better if the team from Ovidiu did not lose, 1-2, to FCSB, a champion desperate to catch the play-off.

The preliminary list also included: Cristiano Bergodi (U Cluj), Daniel Pancu (CFR Cluj), Adrian Mihalcea (UTA Arad) and Filipe Coelho (U Craiova).

How we will choose Player of the Month and Coach of the Month

Very briefly, about the algorithm used for tie-breaking to determine the winners. The GSP editors make the nominations, based on statistics and clear performance figures, then they will vote for 3 categories:
