Big change in PKP Intercity. Tickets for Pendolino can be purchased 4 months in advance

From December 3, PKP Intercity is introducing the possibility of purchasing tickets for Express Intercity and Express Intercity Premium trains 4 months in advance. So far, tickets for the carrier's trains could be purchased a maximum of 30 days in advance.

As the carrier announced on Friday, the possibility of early purchase will apply to EIC and EIP (Pendolino) category trains, and from December 3, tickets will be available up to 120 days before departure. Tickets for domestic connections will be available in advance in the PKP Intercity application, ticket offices and on the e-IC website.

As PKP Intercity emphasized, tickets under the new rules will be available in various pre-sale periods, adapted to the timetable changes planned by the infrastructure manager. For example, from December 3, travelers will be able to buy tickets for journeys until March 7. However, from February 6, 30 days before PKP PLK implements the timetable correction, sales for departures until June 13 will be available.

PKP Intercity is the largest interregional railway operator that provides communication between large cities and popular tourist centers in the country, as well as enabling travel around Europe. Last year, PKP Intercity trains carried 78.5 million passengers, i.e. 15 percent more than a year earlier and 33 percent more than in 2022. (PAP)
