Dinamo Bucharest announced on Friday that “it will not impose additional conditions for the purchase of tickets in the away sector” at the match with Oțelul Galați on Saturday evening at the National Arena, after the Galaţi club had complained that the hosts made the access of visiting supporters conditional on their identity card.

Dinamo's representatives said that after discussions with Otelul officials “they expressed their willingness to assume responsibility for the management of the supporters in the away sector, where in addition to Otelul club supporters, there is the possibility of Petrolul Ploiești supporters also being present and any incidents that may occur in that sector”.

“Consequently, the Dinamo club will not impose additional conditions for the purchase of tickets in the away sector for tomorrow night's match, in the spirit of fair collaboration and mutual respect,” the host club said in a press release on Friday evening.

Those from Dinamo also said that “mutual respect is essential, and supporters, regardless of the team they support, must benefit from adequate conditions in terms of access to the stadium and available services, including the existence of functional points of sale”.

“Unfortunately, such conditions are not always ensured in all stadiums, and at the tour match our supporters encountered difficulties in acquiring water during the match, in high temperature conditions,” the statement added.

What the Steel representatives had said

The host club had complained in a press release that Dinamo conditions the access of visiting supporters to the match at the National Arena on the residence registered in the identity document.

“This measure represents an abusive, discriminatory and deeply unjustified practice, incompatible with the norms and spirit of modern football. The filtering of spectators based on the criterion of domicile is more reminiscent of security administrative methods, not at all the procedures of a sports organization from the year 2025”, declared those from Oțelul.

Oțelul had accused Dinamo of “proving again that it cannot detach itself from its own obscure past and continues to repeat the same opaque practices and attitudes, which no longer have a place in professional football”.

“Through this decision, the supporters of our team, whether they live in other counties, are arbitrarily excluded, although membership of Oțelul is not defined by an address in the bulletin, but by loyalty and passion. In the face of these repeated abuses, SC Oțelul Galaţi undertook all the necessary legal and regulatory steps: official notifications to the FRF and LPF, a complaint filed with the National Council for Combating Discrimination (CNCD), requesting an urgent investigation of these practices and taking the necessary measures”, the Steel representatives also declared.
