With the arrival of cold weather, every morning turns into a struggle: I start the car, and a minute later the windshield is in fog. I wiped it with a rag and after five minutes it was “milk” again. Visibility is almost zero, and special means cannot cope.
But in reality everything is much simpler. There is a homemade solution that can be prepared in 30 seconds from what is found in any kitchen. It creates an invisible film on the glass that prevents moisture from collecting in drops. The view remains clear even in rain, snow or with three passengers in the cabin.
To prepare the solution you will need:
water – 100 ml
fragrance-free liquid soap or baby shampoo – 1/2 tsp.
What to do:
- Mix the ingredients in a small spray bottle.
- Shake well.
- Before applying, wipe the glass with dry microfiber – it should be clean and dry.
- Apply 3-4 light sprays to the inside surface of the windshield.
- Blend a thin layer with clean microfiber until completely transparent.
- Let it dry for 15-20 seconds and you're good to go.
The secret is that soap makes the glass hydrophilic. The moisture does not form drops, but is distributed in an even film that remains transparent. There will be no divorces if you don’t overdo it with the quantity.
The effect lasts up to 24–48 hours depending on the humidity in the cabin. Suitable for all car windows, including side and rear view mirrors. Leaves no odor, does not damage tinting and does not interfere with the operation of sensors.
