Rospotrebnadzor specialists reminded consumers of the rights of consumers when purchasing goods at sales. Promotions and discounts do not deprive buyers of the opportunity to return or exchange an unsuitable item.
As the department emphasizes, any product purchased at a discount must be of proper quality. The buyer can return a non-food product within 14 days if it does not suit the size, style, color or other characteristics. At the same time, the presentation, labels and consumer properties must be preserved.
If a defect is discovered, the buyer has the right to demand a replacement of the product, a reduction in price, free repair or a full refund. “Do not fall for the persuasion of sellers who claim that discounted goods cannot be returned,” experts warn.
According to Vslukh.ru, when purchasing in online stores, special rules apply: any product can be rejected within 7 days from the date of receipt. If information on the return procedure is not provided in writing, this period is extended to three months.
