“Zelensky is not ready for peace. He can return when he is ready for peace.”
The US released an official statement after the meeting between Trump and Zelensky.
“Today we had an extremely important meeting at the White House. We discussed many issues that could not be understood without direct and frank dialogue under high tension. It was amazing to see how emotions affected the conversation.
I have come to the conclusion that President Zelensky is not ready for peace if America is involved in this process, since he believes that our participation gives him a significant advantage in the negotiations.
However, I don't need an advantage – I need PEACE. Unfortunately, he disrespected the United States while in our sacred Oval Office. He will be able to return when he is ready for constructive dialogue and the search for peace.”
