He discussed his future plans and explained that he could consider an offer from another club, if the “military” do not decide to appoint him as sporting director. However, Popa openly admits that he is a convinced star, and a role in the red-blue offices would be a real dream for him.
He also tactfully answered the question: “Would you accept an offer from FCSB?”, the answer being categorical: “No, there is no problem.”

“I left with a lot of knowledge. It was a long year. Even though it was only 5 modules, it was spread over 9 months, full days from 9 to 5. We interacted, we learned, we worked on examples. It was quite difficult. I have seen the projects of several colleagues and have accumulated enormously.
At the moment I'm still playing, but I'm primarily thinking of being a sports director, that's why I did the courses. They weren't cheap, I paid for them myself. I invested a lot in them and in myself, especially at the end of my career. I would like to practice in this role. We see what opportunities arise. Why not be at Steaua? I don't hide it, I'm an astrologer and it would be a dream come true. But if it won't be Steaua, I'm considering any serious offer where I can put into practice what I've learned“, said Adi Popa, immediately after receiving the diploma from Răzvan Burleanu, the president of the FRF.
