Great joy at Craiova after the 1-0 victory with Mainz in stage #4 of the Conference League. The delegation from Olten, led by coach Filipe Coelho, was waited for by about 20 supporters at the exit from “Ion Oblemenco”. The Portuguese coach was asked for autographs and pictures by Olten fans at the first match of his “home”.

The first to leave was Mario Felgueiras, Olten's sporting director, followed by Filipe Coelho, who hugged coach Bo Henriksen immediately after exiting the stadium.

As soon as he left the arena door, Filipe Coelho was asked for autographs.

The coach was greeted by a larger group of people and started to sign the papers handed out by the children present at the arena in Bănie on the conveyor belt. “Good coach”, “We have to win the title” were some of the reactions of the supporters present at the exit from “Ion Oblemenco”. When asked about the title, the Portuguese had a pragmatic answer: “Step by step”.

It was Filipe Coelho's first match in the Conference League on the bench of the University of Craiova and what a MATCH!

The Portuguese now has two wins from two on the Craiova University bench, with Mainz being his first duel as 'principal' against 'Ion Oblemenco'. For Olteni, there is a match against U Cluj, scheduled for December 1.

I think it was a balanced match. We tried to control the game at the beginning. The players respected the tactics and everything we worked on in training very well. They showed that they had a lot of ambition. They were modest, but also extraordinarily motivated. And with the help of the supporters we managed to achieve a remarkable performance and a great result.

Before the match, no one knows who will win. That's why football is beautiful. It's a special victory because of the players. They and the fans deserved it. I'm very happy for the three points, but from tomorrow we have to get back to work. We will see if we reach the European spring. We take it step by step, match by match.

It's a deserved victory. We controlled the opponents' attacks very well. I don't remember any great occasion from Mainz. I knew they were very strong in the set phases, but I think we controlled those moments very well as well. We tried to play, to have the ball in possession. It's a fair result.
