“Uzbekistan is one of Russia’s key trade and economic partners. The republic rose in the ranking of Russia's trading partners from 25th to 10th place in just four years. Russia is the largest buyer of Uzbek fruits, vegetables and textile products, and in return supplies ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy products, including aluminum, to the Uzbek market,” noted Igor Kamynin.
The delegation of the Krasnoyarsk Territory also visited the city of Termez in the Surkhandarya region, where they met with the head of the region, Ulugbek Kosimov.
As a result of the visit, more than 50 negotiations were held between companies of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Uzbekistan. The parties signed three memorandums of intent to develop cooperation in the fields of mechanical engineering, woodworking and the production of industrial equipment.
An agreement in the field of education and science was also concluded between the Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University and Termez State University of Engineering and Agricultural Technologies.
Based on the results of the negotiations, the parties planned a return business mission of representatives of Uzbek enterprises to the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
