FCSB played over 65 minutes in numerical superiority, but could not score in Belgrade, enough to get at least one point from this European trip.

Crețu made a worse mistake than Ngezana!

Crețu made a worse mistake than Ngezana!

After the final whistle, the veteran Valentin Crețu went in front of the gallery and blamed Siyabonga Ngezana, who lost the ball in the phase of the only goal: “If that guy is sleeping on his back there, what should we do?!”.

Today, the images were shown to Gigi Becali. Everything started from a question that former goalkeeper Alessandro Caparco, now an analyst, asked the landowner:

“Boss, one question, please. What do you think about Crețu's statement in front of the supporters?”.

Gigi Becali defends Crețu in the Belgrade scandal: “Let him be in the public square!”

After seeing the images, Becali stated:

“The supporters are absolutely right. And what did that one say… You say something, I say something else. It doesn't matter to me that you are a colleague or not. Are you a colleague? Once I take you in my arms and encourage you. But if one more time, one more time, one more time, then goodbye, I'm no longer a colleague with you!”.

At that point, Caparco intervened and gave rise to the following dialogue:

  • Alessandro Caparco: “I agree, but not in front of others, in front of the fans, outside the house.”

  • Gigi Becali: “No, father! In front of everyone! I say.”

  • Caparco: “But you are the boss of the team”

  • Becali: “Hey, did you choose to be a footballer? If you choose this, you must know that you play football and tens of thousands or millions of people, supporters, watch you. Well, if you chose this and signed a contract and get 20-30-40 thousand euros per month… Well, for a man [normal]such a thing is a fortune! Well if you do that, you know you have to live your life in such a way that what you wrote in that contract you sign!”

  • Caparco: “Yes. But I, as a footballer, can accept criticism from the team owner, from the supporters, but from a colleague of mine…”

  • Becali: “And from my colleague, yes!”

  • Caparco: “Yes, but not publicly!”

  • Becali: “And public! And public, anyway. Why? Because if you do something like that and destroy so many people's jobs and thousands and thousands of people's hopes, then you must be in the public square, there to be… cursed. And colleagues!“.

It was not the last send-off to Siyabonga Ngezana. The boss of FCSB also hinted that the footballer would have cheated on his wife.

“Well, if they come from there… There it is… How can I say it? How can I say it, so as not to disturb? When you meet more beautiful women, like these, you go crazy, it destroys you, it eats away at you. And that's it, the devils do what they want with you. (…)

I have said some things, but there are others that you do not know, that I do not say them all. I'm telling the truth, but I'm not telling everything, because I want his wife to hear and I'm ruining her family.”

Becali's statements come in the context in which Crețu's reaction was “charged” by Mihai Stoica and Marius Șumudică:

I found out today too. It's not normal to discuss a colleague, let us criticize, that's why we're put there. It's very bad what he did, but sometimes the characters are hard to see. I did not expect Crețu to do this, I prefer to see conflicts in the dressing room than to hear accusations between footballers in public. But, no, each…

I didn't expect anyone to do that. He committed it, yes. It depends on how others see the problem in the locker room, but what he did is really unforgivable.

– Mihai Stoica, president of the Administrative Council at FCSB

If I were a coach at FCSB at this moment, I would make the decision immediately. Crețu had nothing left to look for in the team. If we have the strength to do that, because there, you know, Gigi decides, it's his toy, he's the emperor, but if I was a coach, I'd say directly: boss, I don't want to lose the group!

– Marius Șumudică, free contract coach
