This airport is crucial in helping Ukraine. It breaks records in cargo transport

These results, as emphasized by the airport's president, Adam Hamryszczak, are the result of a consistent strategy for the development of the cargo segment in Podkarpacie. He pointed out that these numbers prove the growing demand for high-class transport services in the Central and Eastern European region.
The total weight of shipments handled, excluding those covering military and cargo operations related to assistance to Ukraine, exceeded 1,000 tons in October alone.

The key to the success of the airport in Jasionka? “Operational efficiency”
The director of the airport's operations department, Konrad Wołos, pointed to the key success factor – operational efficiency. According to him, it takes the team just two hours to fully unload a Boeing 767-300F aircraft, including 34 ULD cargo units. This is the equivalent of approximately 2,500 boxes with a total weight of 48 tons during one trip.
According to the port, the airport in Jasionka offers comprehensive capabilities for handling a variety of cargo, including hazardous materials, valuables and perishable goods. All this is done in accordance with the rigorous standards of the International Air Transport Association. Infrastructure includes, among others: modern cold stores, freezers and 24-hour customs clearance, which until recently was the domain of the largest European cargo ports.

Jasionka airport. An important point on the cargo transport map
Record results were achieved despite ongoing modernization works on the runway. The reconstruction of the 700-meter section did not disrupt wide-body traffic. “We have completed one of the largest infrastructure investments in the history of the airport, while simultaneously developing cargo operations.” – Hamryszczak emphasized.
According to the port, flexible rates, punctuality and high standard of service attract further business partners to Jasionka. The port is strengthening its position in the international supply chain, becoming a key hub for Podkarpacie entrepreneurs, enabling the rapid transport of goods to global markets.
The Marshal of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, Władysław Ortyl, pointed out that each subsequent freighter landing in Jasionka means not only dozens of tons of transported cargo, but also new jobs, development of local logistics and transport companies and strengthening the region's position as a business-friendly one.
