In Krasnoyarsk, the passage to the garages on Gladkova has been repaired

In Krasnoyarsk, the prosecutor's office ensured that the city authorities repair the passage to the garages on Gladkova, which were left without a road after the demolition of some of the boxes for the construction of the road.

The prosecutor's office recalled that in order to build a section of the road that would connect Sudostroitelnaya with Gladkova Street, about a hundred garages had to be demolished.

“Some of the buildings could not be dismantled, and a marathon began for their owners – instead of updated infrastructure, people were faced with broken concrete pavement, destroyed access roads and a dismantled drainage well cover. The consequences were more than noticeable: after heavy rains, sinkholes and puddles formed in front of the garages, and it became possible to access your property only in dry weather. The water threatened to flood the basements of the garages, and the sinkholes themselves created a danger to the life and health of local residents,” the press service noted.

People demanded to repair the passage, but the municipal “Capital Construction Department” received an answer that the improvement was not provided for in the contract, they promised to carry out the work “at the final stage,” but no one gave a deadline. Deputy of the Legislative Assembly Ilya Zaitsev received the same answer to his request.

The garage owners wrote a collective appeal to the prosecutor's office. The inspection showed that temporary driveways to the garages were indeed not provided, and the area was not properly maintained.

The prosecutor's office made a presentation to the management of the institution. A reaction followed: through the joint efforts of the parties to the contract, the passage was restored and dangerous gaps were eliminated.

As a result, residents regained legal access to their garages and the potential threat to life and property was eliminated.
