Answering the question of what she would like to wash away from, the blogger started talking about her past connected with the Russian Federation. Eshakzai added that she would not be able to change anything.

She noted that after the start of the full-scale invasion, the Ukrainians wrote to her telling her to go back to Russia, as she had betrayed them. The blogger admitted that Russians wrote to her the same thing. This caused her confusion, frustration and shame.

According to the journalist, at that time she realized that having left for the Russian Federation after 2014, “she made the wrong choice and made a huge mistake that she will regret all her life.”

Context

Eskhakzai was born in 1992 in Kyiv in the family of an Afghan father and a Ukrainian woman. Graduated from the Institute of Journalism of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

While studying, Eshakzai worked as a model and appeared in videos for many artists. Later she took part in popular television shows on STB and TET channels, in particular “Bachelor” and “Goddess of Shopping”.

After the start of Russian aggression against Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea, she lived in Russia and studied acting courses at the Konstantin Raikin Theater School.

Now the journalist runs her own YouTube channel. At first it was called “Rumor Has It,” but in 2023 she renamed it Ramina. The channel currently has 1.48 million subscribers.
