“This format is already working in some Intercity+ trains on the Polish route. Customs officers and border guards are beginning to control passengers when moving at the entrance to the border. Now we plan to gradually extend this practice to sleeping cars on night international routes,” the message says.
Sviridenko noted that the new regime will work on the Kyiv – Przemysl and Kyiv – Chelm trains – more than 130 thousand Ukrainians travel on these flights every month.
“We expect to launch accelerated traffic control on individual trains as early as January, and then we will scale it up to other trains in these directions. I thank the Ministry of Development, Ukrzaliznytsia and the State Border Service for coordinating the preparations,” she said.
