Jamie Vardy was a full-time player for the sixth time in a row at Cremonese, a team he joined in the summer of this year, free of contract after leaving Leicester City, a club for which he played for 13 seasons.
While the English veteran was on the “Olimpico”, his villa in Salo, a city located approximately 80 kilometers from Cremona, was robbed by thieves. The damage is estimated at £80,000 after the perpetrators managed to steal watches, jewellery, money and other items.
Having reached the age of 38, Jamie Vardy ended his adventure in England and joined Cremonese this summer, the team newly promoted to Serie A via the play-offs from the second division.
In his 8 appearances for Cremonese, Jamie Vardy managed to score two goals in Serie A. The English striker “broke the ice” in the match against Atalanta in the 8th leg when he opened the scoring in the 78th minute. The match ended in a draw after the Bergamo outfit managed to score just 6 minutes later through Marco Brescianini.
Vardy's second goal in Serie A came against another great Italian team. The Englishman scored Cremonese's goal of honor in the 1-2 defeat, the success coming in the 83rd minute, 2-0 for the “Old Lady”.
