A man from Drobeta Turnu Severin destroyed the windshield of a Police car, after he was informed that he would be fined for calling the emergency number 112 without any reason.

“On November 22, at 06:15, the Drobeta-Turnu Severin Municipality Police was notified by a police officer from the Public Order Bureau regarding the fact that while he was on duty with another colleague at a report on Calea Timişoarai, a 34-year-old man, who allegedly called SNUAU 112 unjustifiably, punched the windshield of the special vehicle, which he damaged”IPJ Mehedinţi sent in a statement.
According to the quoted source, the investigations revealed that the police team went to a call reported by the 34-year-old man, and when he arrived at the scene, the caller was in an advanced state of intoxication and repeatedly called SNUAU 112.
Later, after the police informed the man that he would be fined for unjustifiably calling 112, he hit the windshield of the special vehicle with his fist, damaging it.
“Based on the evidence administered, under the coordination of a prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Drobeta-Turnu Severin Court, the man was detained for 24 hours and placed in the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center of the inspectorate”the statement also states.
In this case, a criminal case was filed for destruction.
