Media sources claimed that, according to the document, the United States may recognize the occupied Donbass and Crimea as Russian, Ukraine will be required to reduce the size of its army by half, sanctions will be lifted from Russia and the investigation of its war crimes in Ukraine will be stopped.

On November 23 in Geneva took place negotiation according to the “peace plan” with the participation of delegations Ukraine, USAthere were also representatives from Great Britain, Germany and France at the meetings. It was expected that Europeans will apply pressure on US President Donald Trump's negotiating team, Politico wrote.

In contrast to the Russian-American “peace plan” to resolve the war in Ukraine, the leaders of the European Union countries have created an alternative proposal. Allegedly, this document was published on November 23 by The Telegraph. Reuters later circulated its version of the European proposal.

Following the negotiations in Geneva, representatives of the United States and Ukraine prepared an updated and revised framework document for peace in Ukraine. According to media reports, the parties managed to agree on most of the norms of the previously proposed “peace plan” and correct a significant part of the controversial issues.
