Zelensky announced the first results of negotiations on a “peace plan” for Ukraine in Geneva

He said that the Ukrainian delegation was working in Geneva on November 23 to find solutions to end the war of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, restore peace and ensure long-term security.

“There have already been brief reports from the team on the results of the first meetings and conversations. Now there is an understanding that American proposals can take into account a number of elements based on the Ukrainian vision and are critical for the national interests of Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote.

The President noted that work continues to ensure that “all elements are truly effective” to achieve the main goal that Ukrainians are counting on – “eventually putting an end to bloodshed and war.”

This week, Western media reported that the administration of US President Donald Trump, together with the aggressor country of the Russian Federation, has prepared a plan to end the Russian-Ukrainian war. Published media insiders indicate that the document may actually mean the surrender of Ukraine, and European politicians also point to this.

Media sources claimed that, according to the document, the United States may recognize the occupied Donbass and Crimea as Russian, Ukraine will be required to reduce the size of its army by half, sanctions will be lifted from Russia and the investigation of its war crimes in Ukraine will be stopped.

According to media reports, Trump approved this project. Axios published the full text of the 28-point agreement.

Sky News reported on November 21 that Zelensky would discuss a “peace plan” with Trump next week. The US President wants the document to be signed before November 27.

On November 22, Trump said that the “peace plan” for Ukraine is not “final.” On the same day, the leaders of the EU countries, Canada, and Japan issued a joint statement in which they welcomed the ongoing US efforts to establish peace in Ukraine and noted that Washington’s draft “peace plan” “is a basis that will require additional work.”

EU leaders also sent the United States their version of a revised “peace plan” for Ukraine. It contains three key provisions, WP reported. According to Bloomberg, Ukraine and its allies in Europe, among other things, demanded from the United States security guarantees for Kyiv, similar to Art. 5 of the NATO Mutual Defense Charter.

November 23 in Geneva negotiations are underway according to the “peace plan” with the participation of delegations Ukraine, USA, UK, Germany and France. It is expected that the Europeans will put pressure on the Trump team in negotiations on a “peace plan” for Ukraine, Politico wrote.
