Max Verstappen (Red Bull) won the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas after a faultless performance, and is strongly re-entering the fight for the world title.

But the race was shaken by a major decision. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were excluded from the classification after stewards found too much wear on the floorboards of the McLaren cars. The decision came after hours of checks and discussions between officials.
The FIA confirmed that the cars of the two did not comply with the technical rules, so both drivers were disqualified.
The fight for the title is getting tighter than ever
The new order in the top 10 in Las Vegas is: Verstappen, Russell, Antonelli, Leclerc, Sainz, Hadjar, Hülkenberg, Hamilton, Ocon and Bearman.
The Las Vegas success initially moved Verstappen to within 42 points of Norris, but McLaren's disqualifications reduced the gap to just 24 points. Moreover, the Dutchman reaches equal points with Piastri, but he remains in second position thanks to an extra victory.
