The Russians wanted to enter the center of Pokrovsk in thick fog. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported how it ended

“However, these actions were not successful; the enemy is being eliminated in urban areas. The defense forces hold certain lines in the northern part of Pokrovsk and control positions south of the railway, which are important for further de-occupation,” the message said.

Due to the impossibility of pushing through the defenses of Pokrovsk, the Russians are trying to bypass the city, the Ukrainian military added.

In particular, the invaders in small groups tried to reach Grishino in the north-west of Pokrovsk.

“All enemy groups were destroyed. Defense forces are cutting off the enemy’s logistics routes on the approaches to Pokrovsk. Additional engineering barriers are being built up on other routes,” the message says.

In addition, the Ukrainian military neutralizes the Russians when they try to penetrate into Mirnograd in small assault groups.

“Additional logistics routes to Pokrovsk and Mirnograd are being organized for our units to ensure uninterrupted provision of everything necessary,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

They said that the enemy continues to concentrate the main efforts in the Pokrovsk direction, but “he is also suffering the greatest losses and is already forced to use the operational reserve.”
