A day later, Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a speech to Ukrainians in which he criticized the proposal. Meanwhile, Donald Trump announced on Friday that he would give the Ukrainian side until Thursday to respond. A day later, however, he declared that the plan was not a “final offer” to end the war.
Most European countries assessed that the American proposals were too far-reaching concessions to Russia. On Sunday, talks on the American plan are held in Geneva, attended by representatives of the countries of the informal E3 group: Great Britain, France and Germany, Ukraine, the European Union and the EU.
Sunday is also the last day of the G20 summit. On its side, talks are taking place about the American plan for Ukraine.
