The Universitatea Cluj team defeated the UTA Arad group 2-0 on Saturday, away, in a match from the 17th stage of the football Super League, informs News.ro.
Marius Coman joined the hosts from the 10th minute, after Tzionis' injury, and had a chance to score in the 16th minute, when Gertmonas rejected his header. Coman also managed to score in the 24th minute, but the goal, validated by referee Marcel Bîrsan, was canceled by VAR, after almost seven minutes of waiting. The first half ended with Gabriel Simion's cross, from the 45th minute.
Immediately after the break, Cristiano Bergodi's students struck. Jovo Lukic scored from the box and gave Cluj the lead in the 49th minute. Mikanovic cleared Vali Costache's header from the goal line in the 69th minute, saving an obvious goal, and the guests secured their victory in the 83rd minute, when Iulian Cristea scored with a header from the far corner.
Cluj University prevailed in Arad, with UTA, score 2-0, and the “Red Caps” reached 23 points, now occupying 8th place. UTA is in 9th place, with 22 points.
“U” has three wins in the last four stages. UTA was coming after two consecutive victories, notes Agerpres. In the round, the score was equal, 1-1.
