Vladimir Putin spoke out about the US peace proposal

Washington is putting increasing pressure on Kiev to accept the peace agreement with Russia. Donald Trump's administration issues an ultimatum, threatening to limit both arms supplies and intelligence exchange if Ukraine does not agree to the proposed terms, Reuters reported on Friday, citing anonymous sources.
Russian President Vladimir Putin briefly commented on the matter. “I think that it (the American plan – editor's note) can also become the basis for the final peaceful settlement of the conflict” — commented the Russian leader on Friday. This happened during a meeting of the Russian Security Council.
He later threatened to seize more lands in Ukraine if Ukraine rejected the US peace plan. “If Kiev does not want to discuss President Trump's proposals, both they and the European warmongers should be aware that the events that took place in Kupyansk will inevitably be repeated on other sections of the front,” Putin said.
He thus referred to the claim of the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, that Russian forces had taken control of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv Oblast. This was later denied by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, assuring that Kupyansk was still under the control of Ukrainian forces.
Just a few hours earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Moscow had not yet been informed that Volodymyr Zelensky had agreed to talks regarding the American peace proposal. Meanwhile, the representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, said that the Russian authorities “officially” did not receive any offers or projects mentioned in the media.

Peace talks. Ukraine doesn't have much time
US President Donald Trump confirmed on Friday that Ukraine had been given until Thursday to accept the US plan to end the war. In an interview with Fox News radio, he said that Russian President Vladimir Putin was not interested in further hostilities.
During the interview Donald Trump referred to the host's comment, who noted that the peace plan assumes the transfer of part of the Ukrainian territory that is still under Kiev's control. The US president expressed his belief that Ukraine could lose these areas in a “very short time”. He added that the priority was to end the fighting and stop further bloodshed.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump also noted that does not intend to ease the sanctions imposed on Russia. He recalled that companies have until November 21 to end cooperation with Russian oil companies Rosneft and Lukoil, otherwise they may be excluded from the dollar-based financial system. He added that the sanctions were “very strong” and would come into force “soon”.
Reuters, citing sources familiar with the matter, reported that the US had threatened to limit intelligence support and arms supplies to persuade Ukraine to accept the peace agreement with Russia.
Volodymyr Zelensky speaks bitterly about the US plan
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the latest US proposal and the peace plan for Kiev prepared by Washington. He will declare that Ukraine cooperates calmly and responsibly with the United States and its partners. He assured that he would present arguments and propose alternatives.
“Now is one of the most difficult moments in our history. The pressure on Ukraine is now one of the most difficult. Ukraine may face a very difficult choice – either loss of dignity or the risk of losing a key partner. Either 28 points or an exceptionally difficult winter, the most difficult one and further risk. Life without freedom, without dignity, without justice and for us to believe the one who has already attacked twice. They will wait for our response” Zelensky said.
“We do not make loud statements. We cooperate calmly and responsibly with the United States and all partners. We will only continue to look for solutions constructively with our main ally. I will present arguments and propose alternatives, but I will certainly not give the enemy a reason to say that Ukraine does not want peace.” Zelensky said in a speech to the Ukrainian people, the recording of which was posted on the Telegram messenger.
The President of Ukraine also called for ““stop quarreling” and political games.
“The state must act, the parliament of a country at war must act together, the government of a country at war must act effectively“- he emphasized.
Zelensky also announced that he would act quickly on this matter.
