Donald Tusk on the US peace plan. Zelensky presented his position

“A moment ago, Volodymyr Zelensky presented his position on the American peace proposal in a telephone conversation. It requires joint work,” wrote Donald Tusk.
“Russia cannot impose its conditions on Ukraine and Europe. Everything that concerns Poland must be agreed with the Polish government,” we read in the entry.
On Thursday, Axios revealed details of the 28-point peace plan, which is the result of negotiations between the US and Russia. The proposal includes, among others: Ukraine's commitment not to join NATO, reducing the size of the army to 600,000. soldiers and the transfer of part of the territory to Russia.
This plan was criticized by Ukraine. In his Friday speech, Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the country is in one of the most difficult moments in its history.
The President of Ukraine pointed to the enormous pressure that is currently weighing on his country. He stated that Ukraine faces a choice between loss of dignity and the risk of losing a key partner. Zelensky spoke of the difficult conditions that could ensue if the proposal is rejected — including an exceptionally harsh winter and further threats. At the same time, he assured that he would not betray Ukraine, recalling his position from February 2022, when the country was attacked by Russia. The president emphasized that he would fight to ensure that the peace plan includes two key points: the dignity and freedom of Ukraine.
