Present at the formation in Copou since August, in the role of academy manager, Tibor Selymes (55 years old), returned to the coaching circuit a week ago, replacing Lusitanian Tony da Silva (44 years old).
Former Golden Generation left winger, Tibor Selymes, referred to the first stop that the tricolors will support in Turkey for World Cup qualification:
“I was praying we wouldn't catch Turkey. Turkey is the strongest team we could play with.
And this is not only an extremely good team, but also if we think about what awaits us in Turkey.
It's hellish there! It will be extremely difficult to cope thereto get something out”.
The former member of the Golden Generation said: “We need rhythm”
In the opinion of the one who is now coaching Politehnica Iași, one of the keys to the match will be the number of minutes the Romanian players will have in the club teams:
“I think that all our players have to play for their teams until the playoffs, so that we have rhythm. If we don't have rhythm, I think in 30 minutes the match is over!
Our players have to do anything to play for their teams. After that, we'll see if we can handle it or not.
I don't want to give percentages, but chances are. It's only one match, anything can happen in football”.
