Katia Aveiro, Cristiano Ronaldo's sister, was on fire when she saw her brother being criticized in Portugal after visiting US President Donald Trump.
Trump, 79, was delighted to welcome Cristiano Ronaldo and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the White House. Especially since the latter signed a contract with the United States worth almost 3 billion dollars.
About Ronaldo, Trump wrote on his account: “It was wonderful to meet him at the White House. It's really smart – and great!!!”. The Portuguese international was part of Bin Salman's delegation as a representative of Saudi Arabia, the organizer of the 2034 World Cup.
Katia Aveiro: “It's almost as if Cristiano announced the end of the world”
The Saudis were challenged, because of their lack of respect for human rights, but Cristiano lobbied them nonetheless. Including his association with Mohammed bin Salman is harshly criticized in Portugal, as the prince is considered responsible for the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi (59) about seven years ago.
Seeing her brother put on the wall again, after the visit to Trump, the 40-year-old player's sister caught fire! Katia Aveiro came out with a harsh message on Instagram, addressed to the protesters, whom she simply “machine gunned”.
“Hypocrites. You are hypocrites. Suddenly there was hysteria so intense it was scary. It's almost as if Cristiano announced the end of the world. It's surreal and embarrassing to see certain groups panic. Especially in my country. When Ronaldo does something that doesn't fit their script,” Katia began her “execution.”
Katia Aveiro: “This reminds me of how Christ was betrayed by Judas”
She then spoke of “humility”, saying that Cristiano “he has been carrying Portugal on his shoulders for 20 yearsi” and compared her brother to Jesus! “This reminds me of how Christ was betrayed by Judas. My country, unfortunately, is a country like Judas. (…)
I know it's scary to be different, but damn, you should be used to it by now, for God's sake. Ronaldo is not like you, he is not cut from the same dough.
That's why he's where he is now. Do you think things just fell into his hands? It only got to the top because it's different. On top of the world, you know, the world,” Katia concluded her tirade to CR 7's detractors.
