Valentina Aldea's reaction

Senator Valentina Aldea reacted on Friday afternoon following the aggression.

She also says that yesterday she was hit “for no reason” by a person with “deeply unbalanced behavior.”

“Yesterday I experienced one of the hardest moments of my life. I was attacked in the middle of the street, I was hit and my car was vandalized. Yes, I am a parliamentarian, but before that I am a human being like all people. Unfortunately, despite the fact that I was hit for no reason, just because a person with deeply unbalanced behavior is harassing me, this is not a reason to write untruths about me,” the senator wrote on Facebook.

Valentina Aldea also claims that she is not related to the woman who assaulted her, that she filed a complaint with the police and that she was at the IML.

“Violence is not a trivial matter, it is a serious social phenomenon that Romania is facing. Yesterday it was me, tomorrow it could be you, your mother, sister or daughter. We must stop any kind of abuse and violence in Romania, and this is no laughing matter!”, writes the senator in the end.

Valentina Aldea was elected for the position of senator in Electoral District no. 42 Bucharest, on the POT lists.
