Krasnoyarsk residents insisted on changing the design of the scientific center in the Academy to preserve the forest

Public exhibitions have ended in Krasnoyarsk hearings on the project of the innovative scientific and technological center “Mendeleev Valley” in Akademgorodok. The conclusion was published on the city hall website.
The commission recommended adjusting the development boundaries to preserve green spaces. The project was rejected and sent for revision.
Let us recall that it was previously reported that the scientific center will be located on two sites: the territory of an unused boiler house (2 hectares) and next to the unfinished building (2-3 hectares). The project caused concern among residents due to possible deforestation, although the INTC Foundation assured that the total area of green space would be preserved.
Earlier, the INTC Foundation noted that the first facilities of the center were planned to be launched in 2027. Now the deadlines may shift due to the need to revise project documentation.
