Krasnoyarsk is looking for a contractor to build a school in the Oktyabrsky district

In Krasnoyarsk, a tender has been announced to find a contractor for the construction of a new school, the starting price of the contract is 2.6 billion rubles. The customer of the work is the MKU Capital Construction Department.

The mayor's office said that a school for 1,280 students will be built in the Oktyabrsky district at the intersection of Elena Stasova and Chernyshev streets. There is a plot of land there that is free from development: previously it was listed as federal property, but in 2023 it was provided for indefinite use to the capital construction department.

The terrain of the area where the future school should be located is not easy – there are significant differences in elevation. The project developers took this feature into account, so they designed a cascade-type building. The authors also creatively approached the external appearance of the school – from the front entrance, the structure will resemble a bird spreading its wings.

The building will consist of four educational and administrative blocks. In addition to classrooms, there will be a medical block, an assembly hall, a catering unit, a library, carpentry, home economics and woodworking workshops. A comprehensive sports ground for playing volleyball, basketball and mini-football will be opened on the school grounds. In winter there will be a skating rink there.

“A special task, which is outlined by the regional governor Mikhail Kotyukov, is to provide places in educational institutions, especially in developing microdistricts. Let me remind you that on September 1, two large institutions opened at once on 8 March and Vzlyotnaya streets. The construction of facilities in the Michurinsky and Tikhie Zori microdistricts is currently ongoing. And now the bidding for a school in the Oktyabrsky district has started, we plan to select a contractor by the end of this year,” said the acting head of the city, Roman Odintsov.

At the first stage, the contractor will prepare the site for construction and installation work. Construction itself, according to the schedule, should begin in the spring of 2026 and be completed in the summer of 2028.
