I arrange these slices at the roots – and the orchid is lush, like a bride under the crown, throwing out arrow after arrow

When an orchid turns into a bare “skeleton” with a pair of limp leaves, it seems that the plant is hopeless. But don’t rush to say goodbye to this tropical beauty! Ordinary garlic can be that magic kick that will make it bloom with frantic energy.

Garlic is a natural stimulant and antiseptic. Phytoncides disinfect the substrate, destroying fungi and bacteria, and sulfur stimulates the formation of roots and flower stalks. This is not feeding, but rather “awakening” dormant buds.

Garlic Elixir Recipe:

  • Press 1 large clove through a press;
  • Fill with 1 liter of warm, settled water;
  • Let it sit for 20-40 minutes.

Correct Application:

We take the orchid out of the pot and immerse it in garlic infusion for 30-40 minutes.

Or water as usual, spilling the substrate.

Repeat no more than once every 2-3 weeks.

Garlic infusion can stimulate flowering, but it is not a magic wand. It will only work on a healthy orchid with strong roots – a sick plant may not be able to withstand such stimulation. Use it only after flowering, during the dormant period: if you treat a flowering orchid, it will drop its buds.

The main thing is to provide basic care: diffused light, a difference in day and night temperatures of 4-5°C, a transparent pot and special fertilizing. If all conditions are met, then 2-3 weeks after treatment with garlic infusion, the orchid can produce a powerful peduncle, and a month later it can bloom magnificently.
