The American president this week supported a 28-point plan to end the war in Ukraine, NBC News has learned. Previously, Axios and the Financial Times reported that it would include, among others: handing over the rest of the unoccupied Donbas to Russia, partial disarmament and a radical reduction in the size of the Ukrainian army. Ukraine probably did not participate in the development of the plan, but – according to media sources – it is subject to negotiations. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio did not mention the plan in his new tweet, but said that “both sides of the conflict will have to agree to difficult but necessary concessions.”

Drone remains on a Latvian beach

Authorities there said the fragments were found on Karosta Beach in Liepāja. In a special statement, they assured that the facility does not pose a threat to society. In recent weeks, the Baltic Sea has repeatedly washed up debris or parts of Russian drones on Latvian beaches.

At the meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Belgium, foreign ministers will discuss Russian aggression against Ukraine after an informal exchange of views with the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiha. In the US, the UN Security Council will meet to discuss the situation in Ukraine.
