Hidroelectrica exceeded one million customers

The state-owned company Hidroelectrica announced on Tuesday that it has exceeded the threshold of 1 million household and non-household customers in the supply market to the final consumer.

Exceeding the threshold of one million customers represents a confirmation of the confidence that Romanians have in Hidroelectrica and in the values ​​we promote: fairness, stability, transparency and clean energy. We will perseverely continue investing in digitization, modern services and renewable sources of production, to meet the ever-higher expectations of our customers“, said Bogdan Badea, President of the Hidroelectrica Directorate.

I want to emphasize that Hidroelectrica has developed the most modern online contracting portal in Romania, designed to serve both household and business customers, and the platform stands out for its intuitive, friendly and secure interface, which simplifies the process of concluding contracts and significantly reduces the time required for administrative formalities.

According to ANRE data from July this year, Hidroelectrica's market share in the competitive market segment was 17.60%, the company moving from that moment to the first place in the top suppliers in Romania. If in June Hidroelectrica's market share stood at 15.16%, in just one month, the company managed to become the leader of the competitive market in Romania, at the same time consolidating its reputation as a supplier with the most competitive offers on the market, including after the liberalization of the energy market.

Since entering the electricity supply market, Hidroelectrica has carried out a series of modernization projects aimed at improving the consumer experience and strengthening their trust in the company.

According to the company, a central element of these efforts is the implementation of the “IHidro” platform, a modern and easy-to-use tool that provides customers with quick access to information about consumption, bills and payments. In parallel, the company has implemented high-performance computer systems for managing data and interactions with customers (CRM), which allow a more prompt and personalized response to their requests.

Through these investments in digitization and communication, Hidroelectrica confirms its commitment to provide supply services to European standards, based on transparency, accessibility and innovation. With a tradition of over six decades in hydropower production, Hidroelectrica has managed to reinvent itself through continuous adaptation to market demands and through a customer-oriented vision, sustainability and innovation. The company remains firmly committed to the objective of producing 100% green energy and supporting Romania in reaching its decarbonisation targets”, the company informed on Tuesday.

We remind you that Hidroelectrica is the largest producer of renewable energy in Romania, managing a portfolio of 188 hydroelectric plants with a total power of 6.4 GW, as well as the Crucea wind farm, with 108 MW installed.
