The American station NBC News revealed that President Donald Trump expressed support for the above-mentioned plan, which aims to end the conflict in Ukraine. Information obtained by NBC shows that the project was consulted with the envoy of the Russian president, Kirill Dmitriev, and representatives of the Ukrainian authorities.
However, according to a source close to the Ukrainian government, Kiev did not participate in the creation of the plan. Ukraine was only informed about its outlines, without access to details. The authorities in Kiev were also not asked to contribute to the development of the project, according to people familiar with the matter.

According to media reports, the plan assumes controversial solutions, such as the United States recognizing the annexation of Crimea and Donbas by Russia, placing the rest of the unoccupied Donbas under Moscow's control, as well as partial disarmament and a significant reduction in the size of the Ukrainian army.
