VIDEO. Ladislau Boloni, at the premiere of his documentary in Bucharest: “I am proud”

“It's not necessarily an emotion, the first time it was a surprise. I was also looking for the reason, why with me? The emotions were in Târgu Mureș, it was on home ground. Then, we played away in Budapest. It turned out well. On neutral ground, now, Bucharest is a difficult ground every time.

I didn't interfere too much, I asked a few questions, but I accepted the opinion of the filmmakers. In the end, I'm a little afraid that it's not necessarily just a football movie. It is also something else. It is also a message, maybe more. If someone can find them in the movie, I'll be happy. I think you have to be able to face the difficulties. Life, in general, suits you. What you get is talent and work.

I am especially glad that the translation of the Hungarian title is something else entirely. I like it much more and the Romanian title says much more for me. I am proud.

At Târgu Mureș, others were present, and here, of course, they are first and foremost the stars. And Răducioiu joined us. Lung apologized for not being able to make it. The truth is that without them, today, I could not be here, in front of you. I think I achieved something that, for a man who belongs to the Hungarian minority, says something,” said Ladislau Boloni.

Finally, Boloni also answered the question of whether he is ready to take over the national team, in case Mircea Lucescu leaves:So we're starting to put the oxen behind the cart, right? That's never a winner. I wish that Lucescu succeeds in his bet and completes this dam that awaits us. It was Mario Jardel, my former top, whom Lucescu also knows, and he said that in football everything is possible”.

Gică Hagi: “Ladislau Boloni was an example for us”

Present at the event, Gică Hagi praised Ladislau Boloni, former colleague at Steaua, whom he described as an example of responsibility and professionalism.

“Ladislau Boloni was born to be great. For us he was an example. We always saw in him responsibility, professionalism, punctuality. He always tried to do things the right way and for us, the young, he was an example.

I don't know if there is a movie with Gică Hagi, but we are here for Ladislau's film, I can't wait to see it. Asked about the dam, Hagi answered: No, no! We are here, we are talking about Loti's film, not the national team.

Ask him (No. Ladislau Boloni) if he still wants to train. That's a question you have to ask him. He decides and knows best. He trained exceptionally well, but also in his playing career he dedicated himself to football. It's an example.

The best memory with him is when he let me take the free kick in the European Super Cup with Dynamo Kyiv. And he was left-handed, and I was left-handed. It was a matter of inspiration. He is a guy who always believed in himself that he was very good. He was a champion here and abroad.

He always wanted to get the most out of him both as a player and as a person. He is a very good man. So like him we can say that there are more midfielders, but he was a complete guy. Very complete. He did both phases very well, he had a great left, he had stamina, he had power and intelligence in the game.

He had placement, he was good both defensively and offensively. An example for us. We have to respect him because he was very big, he won the Champions League, he trained a lot abroad, he represented Romania very well and he is an example. We are proud of him”, declared Gică Hagi.
