Donald Trump (79 years old), the president of the United States of America, had a meeting at the White House with the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, in which they also talked about the existence of a program through which fans who have tickets for the World Championship next summer will have priority in obtaining a visa for the USA.

The US government presented on Monday, November 17, a new system that will make it easier to get visas for fans in connection with next year's World Cup.

Ticket holders will have the opportunity to process their entry documents into the country with priority, US President Donald Trump informed, according to sport.aktuality.sk.

Who has a ticket to CM, easier way to obtain a visa

The head of the International Football Federation (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, and Trump met at the White House, where they presented the new scheme. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was also present at the meeting, who appealed to fans to sign up as soon as possible.

“Don't wait until the last minute, as the ticket does not automatically guarantee you permission to enter the country. However, the authorities may process your visas with priority”Rubio said, according to the DPA agency.

Obtaining visas was recently one of the main problems that FIFA wanted to solve as soon as possible, as the process was too long in many countries.

The Athletic portal recalled that, for example, in Bogota, Colombia, people wait for an appointment for 11 months. Quito in Ecuador (almost 10 months) and Casablanca in Morocco (almost 7 months) are in a similar situation.

For citizens of countries that are part of the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA), travel will be considerably simpler. If their visit to the US does not exceed 90 days, they will not need a visa. However, the list does not include, for example, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil or Uruguay, as well as large parts of Africa and the Middle East.
