Carpatica Feroviar, the company that will replace CFR Marfă, received 6,800 files for the 2,200 jobs available for those who want to be employed, said the general director, Daniel Apostolache. He estimates that the first people could be hired in early December.

Apostolache said, in an interview for the Railway Club, that more than 1,800 applications were submitted for the 200 TESA positions, and 5,000 files were received for the 2,000 worker positions.

“In total, there are 6,800 files for 2,200 positions. We found that there were candidates who submitted files for several positions, as well as for the engineer and the director,” says the director of new companies, the same man who until March led CFR Marfă. The deadline for submitting files has passed, and they are now under review.

The head of Carpatica Feroviar says he hopes the first people will be hired on December 2 or 3.

We remind you that CFR Marfă is among the state companies that are going into liquidation, and a new company was established in its place. Carpatica Feroviar will take over part of the employees and is led by the former director of CFR Marfă, who promises that the mistakes of the past will not be repeated:

CFR Marfă employees do not automatically transfer to the new company Carpatica Feroviar, especially since, in total, the new operator will have several hundred fewer employees than the company to be liquidated.

Apostolache also said that there is a lot of false information circulating about the future Carpatica Railway and the real number of employees that CFR Marfă has.

“I cannot agree with statements like: “Carpatica will employ 2,000 people, and CFR Marfă has 4,700. It is not true, CFR Marfă has 2,600 employees, and we have 2,100 positions approved by the organization chart. And let's not forget that there are a lot of people who are retired at CFR Marfă. I didn't think it was fair that some trade unionists said what a thousand or so people will do it”.

“The project is undertaken by the Romanian State (…) it is not my company”, the director also said.
