AUR will attack the distribution of mandates in the boards of directors of TVR and the public radio station at the CCR: “A theft in the face, a boundless scam”

The parliamentary groups of the AUR in the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies announce that they will attack the distribution of seats in the Boards of Directors of public radio and television stations at the CCR, informs Agerpres.
The joint culture commissions of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate approved the proposals for the Boards of Directors of SRTv and SRR on Monday evening.
“The AUR groups in the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies accuse the parties in power of stealing the Romanian vote and making a mockery of the law, in the context of nominations in the Boards of Directors of Public Television and Radio. Although the legal provisions are clear, and the distribution of seats in the CA of SRR and SRTv must respect the proportionality of the configuration in Parliament, the power wants to grant an equal number of seats to both the AUR and the UDMR, a formation with 32 parliamentarians, almost three times less compared to the AUR (90). Also, although the PNL has 73 senators and deputies, and the USR only 59, so much less than the number of AUR parliamentarians, the PNL and the USR receive more seats in the two Administrative Councils than the AUR, according to a press release from the AUR sent on Monday.
The leader of the AUR senators, Petrisor Peiu, claims that the power violates the law and does not grant the AUR two representatives to the boards of directors of SRTv and SRR.
“According to the law, parliamentary parties have the right to make proposals for the eight available seats, according to the political configuration and their weight in the Legislature. We are the second parliamentary party and we have the right to two legal representatives in each of the two Administrative Councils, but the power wants to break the law. We will appeal to the CCR this illegal way of appointing the administrators at SRR and SRTv. We will also file criminal complaints against all the representatives of power who commit this abuse unqualifiable”, said Petrisor Peiu, quoted in the press release.

According to the leader of the AUR deputies, Mihai Enache, the power representatives “seek to make fun of the parliamentary weight”.
“It is a blatant theft and a boundless scam perpetrated by the current power, and the public opinion must know. They seek to make fun of the parliamentary weight, that is, the vote given by the Romanian citizens last December. It is shocking how great is the contempt of this unfortunate majority for the law,” Enache also affirmed.
