Scientists have warned of the onset of “winter” on the Sun

17 November 14:38

Astrophysicists have recorded a sharp decrease in solar activity, which experts call the “dead season” or “winter” on the Sun. As Sever-Press reports, the data was obtained from the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the IKI and ISTP.

“The sun looks extremely empty and boring. If unexpected events do not occur, the “dead” season begins – winter comes not only on Earth, but also on the Sun,” the scientists note.

At the same time, the consequences of recent solar activity continue to be observed in the vicinity of the Earth – experts record jumps in the magnetic field, an increase in temperature and plasma speed. On November 16, a cloud of plasma came to our planet from the last explosion on the Sun.

The recent magnetic storms have been the strongest in recent months.
